Who is Jesus? As Catholic we know what life WITHOUT Jesus will be. But have you ever wondered what the life of Jesus was like? This is our attempt to put the Life of Jesus together in a continuous story according to the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

To start off, go to this link and explore the early life of Jesus and some of His teachings and parables. This continuous Story of Jesus is based on the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, from the North American Bible version, as published by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. None of the words had been changed and none are added. Extra-biblical

summaries and background information, if any, are indicated as such.

Prayer IS Necessary for Our Salvation
In the Gospels Christ imposes on us that prayer is necessary as a means of salvation. Without it we cannot resist temptation, obtain God's grace, nor grow and persevere in it.

Most often when we think of prayers, we think of bargaining with God.

Do this and I'll do that. Wrote Friar Jim Van Vurst, O.F.M., also known as
Friar Jack of the American Catholic in one of the Friar Jack's eSpiration, regarding prayers:

"Prayer is not aimed at manipulating God to do what we want. We sincerely pray for what we think we need and what is best for us and those around us, and it is perfectly fine to ask God for those things. We pray for health, good grades and safe travel. But we know that to neglect health, to skip studying or to drive at dangerous speeds and then pray for good health, high grades and safety on the highway would make a mockery of prayer. God expects us to use the intelligence and common sense that he gave us."

Most of us have special needs. And God did say "Ask and you shall receive." Have you
tried
Novenas? A novena describes a personal devotion for 9 consecutive days or once a week for 9 consecutive weeks. These prayers are often for a particular intention. You can dedicate these prayers for a particular aspect of the Person or mystery of Christ. These
can also be dedicated to a particular saint. Explore and choose a novena that fits your needs.

How about the Rosary? According to tradition, the Rosary was spread by St. Dominic in
the 13th century. However it came to us, the Rosary has become a favorite devotion for
the faithful throughout the world. It has also been associated with apparitions of the
Blessed Virgin Mary.

In October 16, 2002, Pope John Paul II marked the 24th anniversary of his papacy by
issuing the apostolic letter adding the Mysteries of Light, or the Luminous Mysteries, to
be recited on Thursdays.

Learn how to say the Rosary. The website presents you two forms of the Rosary. There
is the long forms that includes suggested readings and ends with the Litanies for the
Virgin Mary, to be said during the Rosary. The other is the shorter form without the
readings and the Litanies.

The Catholic Mass or the Eucharist is a true sacrifice and a representation in an
unbloody manner of the sacrifice of Christ.
Explore the reasons why we do what we do in Church and begin to really take the celebration of a mass to heart.

A Pilgrimage is a journey to a religious place for devotion.  The religious places are often sites of previous apparitions, churches, cathedrals, or places where sacred relics are enshrined.
