The Glorious Mysteries Sundays and Wednesdays |
|
To
begin the devotion on the Rosary for the
Glorious Mysteries, while holding the
crucifix of the rosary make
| |
The Sign of the Cross |
|
| |
In
the name of the Father,
And of the Son,
And of the Holy Spirit.
Amen. |
|
On the crucifix of the rosary recite |
|
|
|
|
|
The Apostle’s Creed
| |
I believe in
God,
The Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth.
I believe in Jesus Christ,
His only Son, our Lord.
He was conceived by
The power of the Holy Spirit
And born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered
under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified, died and was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day he rose again. |
He ascended
into heaven,
And is seated
At the right hand of the Father.
He will come again
To judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
The Holy Catholic Church,
The communion of Saints,
The forgiveness of sins,
The resurrection of the body
And life everlasting.
Amen. |
| |
|
On the first large bead
of the rosary recite:
The Our Father |
| |
Our Father
in heaven,
Holy be your name,
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done,
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us
today
Our daily bread. |
Forgive us our sins
As we forgive those
Who sin against us.
Do not bring us to the test
But deliver us from evil.
Amen. |
|
On each of the three
small beads of the rosary, for an increase of faith, hope
and charity recite: |
|
The Hail Mary |
|
Hail Mary,
Full of grace!
The Lord is with you.
Blessed are you
Among women
And blessed is the fruit
Of your womb, Jesus. |
Holy
Mary,
Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour
Of our death.
Amen.
|
| |
|
On the next bead of the
rosary after the third Hail Mary recite: |
| |
|
The Glory Be |
|
Glory be to
the Father,
And to the Son,
And to the Holy Spirit. |
As it
was in the beginning
Is now and ever shall be
World without end.
Amen. |
|
Then recite: |
|
|
The Fatima Prayer |
| |
O my Jesus,
Forgive us our sins,
Save us from the fires of hell |
And bring
all souls into heaven,
Especially those who most need
Your divine mercy. |

The Gospel Of Mark 16:1-7
When the Sabbath was over, Mary Magdalene, Mary, the mother of James, and Salome bought spices so that they might go and anoint him. Very early when the sun had risen, on the first day of the week, they came to the tomb.
They were saying to one another, "Who will roll back the stone for us from the entrance to the tomb?"
When they looked up, they saw that the stone had been rolled back; it was very large. On entering the tomb they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a white robe, and they were utterly amazed.
He said to them, "Do not be amazed! You seek Jesus of Nazareth, the crucified. He has been raised; he is not here. Behold the place where they laid him.
But go and tell his disciples and Peter, 'He is going before you to Galilee; there you will see him, as he told you."

And (behold) I am sending the promise of my Father upon you; but stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high."
Then he led them (out) as far as Bethany, raised his hands, and blessed them. As he blessed them he parted from them and was taken up to heaven. They did him homage and then returned to Jerusalem with great joy, and they were continually in the temple praising God.

Acts 2:1-7
When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled, they were all in one place together. And suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wind, and it filled the entire house in which they were.
Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire, which parted and came to rest on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim.
Now there were devout Jews from every nation under heaven staying in Jerusalem. At this sound, they gathered in a large crowd, but they were confused because each one heard them speaking in his own language.
They were astounded, and in amazement they asked, "Are not all these people who are speaking Galileans?

The Gospel of Luke 1:46-55
And Mary said: "My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my savior. For he has looked upon his handmaid's lowliness; behold, from now on will all ages call me blessed. The Mighty One has done great things for me, and holy is his name.
His mercy is from age to age to those who fear him.
He has shown might with his arm, dispersed the arrogant of mind and heart.
He has thrown down the rulers from their thrones but lifted up the lowly.
The hungry he has filled with good things; the rich he has sent away empty.
He has helped Israel his servant, remembering his mercy, according to his promise to our fathers, to Abraham and to his descendants forever."
Mary remained with her about three months and then returned to her home.

The Revelations 12:1-6 A great sign appeared in the sky, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars.
She was with child and wailed aloud in pain as she labored to give birth.
Then another sign appeared in the sky; it was a huge red dragon, with seven heads and ten horns, and on its heads were seven diadems. Its tail swept away a third of the stars in the sky and hurled them down to the earth. Then the dragon stood before the woman about to give birth, to devour her child when she gave birth.
She gave birth to a son, a male child, destined to rule all the nations with an iron rod. Her child was caught up to God and his throne.
The woman herself fled into the desert where she had a place prepared by God, that there she might be taken care of for twelve hundred and sixty days.

Concluding Prayers
for the Devotion on the Rosary for the Glorious
Mysteries: |
|
| |
| |
Hail Holy Queen |
|
Hail Holy Queen,
Mother of mercy;
Hail our life,
Our sweetness,
And our hope!
To you do we cry
Poor banished children of Eve,
To you do we send up our sighs,
Mourning and weeping
In this valley of tears. |
Turn then,
O most gracious Advocate,
Your eyes of mercy toward us,
And after this exile,
Show us the blessed fruit
Of your womb, Jesus!
O clement, O loving,
O sweet Virgin Mary! |
